Like her brother, Mia’s crimes may seem mild compared to other targets. She leads a mildly bohemian lifestyle as she pursues a computer science degree in Emet’s Crossing. She has an active social life, and has had several lovers—all women. Do not attack Mia for being a lesbian. Do not attack Mia for being a woman in tech. Those are pitfalls that will garner sympathy and hurt our cause.
Attack Mia for enabling Zander’s mediocrity. Attack her for appealing to his weakest attributes. Mia seems to think that she can get Zander out of this by persuading him to make nice and urging him to walk away from every challenge that could make him great. She seeks to reduce the minimum effort required.
But I suspect there is more to Mia Jones than you might think. Her course load suggests a specialization in cryptography. We have an insider who provided access to her search history, and she has researched techniques for going “off the grid,†information warfare, and cryptofinance. Mia is a chess master. And she will play to win.
